Castaway Island, located in the heart of the Mamanuca Islands group is a Fiji favourite. This private 174 acre island is covered in rich tropical rainforest, surrounded by white sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs. Located approximately 30km from the international gateway of Nadi, Castaway Island is easily accessed by a 90min scheduled ferry service or water taxi from Denarau Marina on the mainland, or a short 10min seaplane or helicopter flight.

The Island is jam-packed full of fun and exciting land and water activities. Explore the picturesque bushwalking trails, have a hit of tennis, experience a cooking class, learn to scuba dive, learn about Fijian culture, get out on the water in a kayak or paddle board, or simply relax with a traditional Fijian massage. 

Beautifully designed traditional thatched-roof bures (bungalows) with vaulted tapa ceilings and natural timbers, are air-conditioned and feature patios, separate sitting areas, as well as mini fridges. Each free-standing bure is located in either the centre of the island surrounded by beautiful gardens, with ocean glances or beachfront.

The sound of the ocean, the calming touch of an ocean breeze and colourful sights add to the mouth-watering aromas and tastes of creative island cuisine. Whatever your culinary desires, you will find them on Castaway Island menus. Emphasis is on the very best of fresh seasonal produce from both local Fijian growers and international suppliers, brought to your table bursting with flavour and flair.

Activities
There are plenty of things to do to keep you as busy or relaxed as you like including beach volleyball, complimentary non-motorized water sports including catamarans, kayaks, windsurfers, stand-up paddle boards and tennis, Charges apply to some activities including PADI certified diving, jetskis, snorkelling, parasailing and island hopping. There are two pools; one child pool and one serenity pool with swim-up bar.

Dining & Bars
Waters Edge Restaurant  - Castaway's main restaurant and buffet area. Enjoy a showcase of Fijian produce throughout the day with traditional and classic island fare. Open daily for breakfast 7am - 10am, lunch 11am - 3:30pm, adults dinner 6:30pm - 9:30pm, kids dinner 5:30pm - 6:30pm.
Sundowner Bar - Enjoy wood fired pizza, tropical salad bar and cocktails. Open for lunch and dinner 11am - 9pm. Happy Hour 5pm - 7pm.
Restaurant 1808 - Enjoy an inspirational menu with organic produce and herbal infusions combining the unmistakable flavours of Asia, featuring Fijian, Chinese and Indian cooking techniques. Open for dinner 6:30pm - 9:30pm (excl Wed & Sat). Adults only restaurant. 
Nuku Marau - Dine poolside with light a la carte breakfasts & all day fresh rolled sushi, burgers, sandwiches & wraps. Open for breakfast 10am - 11:30am, lunch 12pm - 5:30pm.

Kids Club
Holidaying with kids is easy at Castaway Island - the free Kids Club is renowned as the place to be for fun. The Fijians’ love of children is legendary and you can be assured your children will be well cared for by your Castaway family. Supervised daily adventures and educational games with a distinctive Fijian flair run throughout the day and into the evening. Designed for children 3 years and over, the Kid’s Club offers fully supervised activities from 9:00am to 4:00pm and then from 5.30pm to 10:00pm daily.
